Wow. Just, wow. As an avid reader, journalist and writer, I am always looking for great new books. This is one of them. It is a collection of stories, marvelous, detailed stories, of a most interesting life - an opera superstar from the inland SoCal town of Fontana who rises to the top, twice, only to get kicked down, twice, through no fault of his own - and in the end, instead of aiming for the sky a third time, he gives up his hopes and dreams for something even better: Being a dad to his sons. Through it all, he is guided by his belief that he, well, just knows he knows. I started reading this on a Friday and finished the next evening - and I am usually one of those people who drags books out, reading a chapter at a time at a leisurely pace. Not this one. Too addicting! Ultimately, it is a story of growing up, redemption and finding one's own truth. Brilliant book, brilliant writer. Highly recommended.

Mr. Hendrick shares his life story of becoming an International Opera Singer. The challenges he confronted and overcame are beyond daunting. This book is truly an inspirational tale of how he defined his life goals and achieved them. All while defying naysayers and overcoming numerous obstacles. Until, finally, he found happiness and fulfillment.

What a phenomenal story, full of divine intervention, dogged determination, the heights of fulfillment and the depths of frustration! I can't wait for the audio book to come out, so everyone can hear this life-changing Voice telling his heart story.

Wonderful, inspirational book about perseverance and following your path. Everyone should read it especially those that have come to a fork in the road.

This book has it all. Suspense, drama, humor, happy times, sad times etc. It’s real life, from the viewpoint of someone who has seen the highest highs and the lowest lows. Uplifting and inspirational, you won’t be able to put it down.
